San Francisco Pride 2015 ~ Equality Without Exception | SF Pride | Pride Parade at SF | Pride Month
I loved San Francisco as soon as I first laid my eyes on it. It’s a city with not only a heart but also a soul. And what made the city even better for me was AB’s enthusiasm to show me around the place, it’s events and the other interesting factors that make SF so unique. And in sync with that, here’s my pictorial post on San Francisco Pride 2015, our second visit to Pride Parade and the fiesta that follows. Continue reading

Try this rich, spicy and finger-licking-good goat curry and pulao dish which complements the meat perfectly. Continue reading
Mangoes and cute little things!
Summer months automatically mean mangoes. Mangoes flood the Indian grocery stores here. You would also find them at Trader Joe’s, Whole Food etc. AB and I try the varieties that you get here and this year we have been especially lucky to have found these excellent ones in one particular Indian store here. The taste of those mangoes takes me straight back to Kolkata when I would relish the ‘Langra’ variety while my entire family would go for ‘Himsagar’ without batting an eyelid.
Banana Loaf Cake Recipe
I do not know what is it about freshly baked frosting-less cakes and breads that I love so much. Keeping that ‘love’ in mind and a craving for something that could accompany our evening tea, I baked this loaf cake. This is not a heavy cake. It is more like a hybrid between a cake and a bread. And while I did have something ready for all you wonderful people, I got a message from my fellow blogger Manasi, that she nominated me for Infinity Dream Award! And what better ‘first post’ than my first ever nomination for an Award ?!!
Dal Palak ~ Indian Spinach Lentil Soup
Health is Wealth, my love. So, let’s have something nutritious now, shall we?
Now, majority of my family is in India. As far as the temperatures are concerned at the moment, in summer, it is Not agreeing with anyone! And the mercury is rising here as well. To deal with the heat (and usually as a part of our regular diet) I made this particular Dal, which turned out to be not only great but quite different than other ‘dals’ that I make (if that makes sense?) This was a good, simple dinner.
